I had a similar idea, but didn&#039;t know that someone manufactured such a device.  I just took a piece of flexible wood and placed it under the fabric in front of the cockpit.  It worked well until it snapped one day (oops!).  Luckily my method cost next to nothing &amp; fits in the AE kayak bag, but I may have to look into getting something like this that is more permanent.
